Anyone use them?
Do I need a separate pump for return line or can I run 1 pump on a Closed loop and return line?

Anyone have pics of how it can be setup when completed?

At one time they were in common use but I don't hear much about them in the last 2-3 years.

Hmmm... Well I bought a tank with a CL already, so I'm wondering if it's worth it, or if I should just plumb all 4 returns off of 1 pump with steady flow.

Thanks for the history though... I wonder if it's not such a great product after all :confused:

Here's my plumbing plan... Whatcha think? Green is return flow, Red is Drain and the main does 2850gph {DolphinAmp}

Here are some iphone pics of the start of the tank cleanup and plumbing...
It had some paint that had begun to bubble from age/heat/environment so I decided to scrape it off.

Still need to decide on a CL pump and would like some feedback on the plumbing design. And need to track down an OM 4-way. Let me know if you have one ;)

Here's mine when almost done in the first pic and then finished from the side in the second, consisting of a OM 4-way with a Dart running it. Not sure if it would work well as a return as well. Would you have 2 feeds to the pump one from the tank and one from the sump? If you even think about something like this, give Paul from Oceans motions a call. I have spent hours on the phone just talking about tank designs with him. Great guy and great support from them for their products.

Thanks Mike! Paul advised against using 1 pump as a return and for the OM flow.
I need some ideas for setting this up with only the space available under my sump as this tank is on the second level of a house.
