Joe's not here
There were quite a few people that were unaware of the raffle "rules".
The selling of tickets was supposed to stop at 2pm, but was extended to ~2:30pm
The boxes were then sealed to avoid any possible tampering (or a ticket falling out). Several people showed up at 2-3 minutes before 3pm (the raffle start time) to drop their tickets in the box (which were sealed). No go.
It was a huge raffle (did I mention I won an Oceanlight 250w??) and very hectic both putting it together & the claim redemption process. Paula handled it all very well & did a LOT of hard work organizing this.
I almost hate to mention specific names, since I saw a lot of BRS members running around working all weekend. But since I helped (a little) I saw what Paula put together (and Sherry & Doug's mom - Betty) and...?
The BRS MACNA crew did a lot of work & it showed. And most were behind the scenes...I think someone called them "thankless jobs"
But, Thank You!!
and I had a place all picked out for that 120g, or the 90g, or the other 90g, or the 75g...or the frag tank.....no no...wait the chiller...oh wait...I bought that one
and a 500w heating element (WONPRO) selling for $30!! What a bargain!!
HEY!!! Let's do it again in 2006!! {ducks & hides}
