ok maybe a silly question

how often does your anemone poop? mine did about a week and a half ago and its doing it again right now. the funny thing is a dont spot feed this one anything. so where is it all coming from

mine only pooped once and that was the 26th of december, the food is probably the food that gets moved around your tank when you feed your fish

Are you sure it's pooping and not releasing its zooxanthellae? It looks like they are pooping when they do that.

hmm, I don't think I have actually seen either of mine poop and I do give them silversides every so often.

it was poop as far as i know (im not a real poop expert, my kids are older now lol ) but it is all back to normal now. how can i tell the difference?

I wish I had a picture to show you. Who knows, I could have been mislead myself. An anemone I purchased out of stupidity when I first started my tank "Pooped" daily. I was told it was releasing zooxanthellae and dying (which it did). The only way I can describe how it looked was that it looked like realy thin twisted and curly intestines with little bean shaped things in it.
