OK...What is it???

I thought this thing was my dwarf lionfish starving himself and emaciated. It was crawling around this morning very slowly. Anyone know what it is?

I think it looks like Pteraeolida ianthina especially those from Reunion Island
You might find some pictures on the net

It is a type of nudibranch in one of the sub groups

You might try this site: it has several pictures of nudibranches:

I had seen one at another site that looked like the Pteraeolida ianthina, but the one at this site looks different. It has appendages that look more like those of a hammer coral rather than featherlike. There are a lot of them to choose from.

Let me know how you make out.

Have you added rock to your tank recently?
Usually ther are hitchhikers
Most do not last long, but if you haven't added anything recently then it must be eating something

Nope, no new rock. A new chili cactus, but no where to hide in there from what I can see...must be spontaneous generation!
Nothing to worry about I am assuming?

I think it looks very cool, but do I know? "I like the odd."
