Old Castle Play Sand

Does anyone know where I can find some Old Castle white play sand for my tank? Home Depot and Lowe's don't seem to carry it anymore.

I don't believe its available under that name anymore, do a search you should find a thread a month or two back with the latest info.

If you look at that website closely the bag is Kolorscape and the description says Kolorscape, not the same as Southdown. You can get Kolorscape at HD, Lowes or Wal-Mart. I used it in my nano and won't use it when I set up my 92. It gets dingy looking pretty quick. I threw in a few pounds of aragonite, you can see it mixed in with the Kolorscape and it has stayed perfectly white.

Really? I hadn't heard that before. I was planning to use Kolorscape when I set up my 150 based on all of the people who have not had a problem with it. Has anyone else had this problem with Kolorscape?

I used Kolarscape in my display and fuge. It turned brown pretty quick for me also. I have half a bag left if anyone wants it for free theyre welcome to pick it up. Shoot me a PM.

I will look for KOLORSCAPE the next time I'm at the Waltham Home Depot.

I will probably need some for a remote deep sand bed filter I am thinking of seting up.


My tank has a mixture of sand from my old tank and KOLORSCAPE.
Seems to be ok.

I went to Walmart last night and they didn't have it. I am wondering if it is a seasonal product and they just haven't got this year's shipment in yet.
