One year old!

It's been a year since I put up my new tank (with a lot of help from some friends you know who you are) and I thought I would do an update vid. Also I should say the tank has been running the past 3 weeks without a skimmer. The pump died on the BubbleKing and I had to order a new motor block. I cant complain. It ran 24/7 for 10 years straight and I never had do a thing to it. In all that time I only cleaned it about 4 times and when I took it apart there was never any calcium buildup or anything else in there. It's interesting that I haven't seen any change at all in the tank. Maybe when its fixed I will only run it for 12 hours a day. Here is the vid.

I really notice my Boston accent in this. Maybe I will get in the cah and go get some lobstah for dinner.

Oh yes. Its a 4 season room. It has heat for the winter and air conditioning for the summer. Don't use the air conditioning much. Only when the temps are in the high 80s. The tank is cooled with a fan.

Your rock, seeded or real live rock?

Almost all the rock came from the previous tank. I used cut Marco rock for some of the ledges and to cover sections of the overflows. I still have loads of live rock down in the sump. I didn't use anywhere near the same amount of rock in this aquascape as I did in the last.

Funny I was on YouTube looking for some inspiration, and that video popped up. I was thinking this must be another reefkeeper2 until i watched it. The tank is beautiful, I was enjoying it until my kids said,make ours look like that. THANKS!
