So you cut one into quarters or did you just remove this wedge from the mother leaving the mothers mouth intact? Assuming the latter, how does the mother grow back? Does she fill in or will it pretty much look like pac man for the rest of its life?

I lost exactly half, cut the remainder in half, ,one of the quarters lived
