Partial BTA split

Our rbta started to split a few weeks ago. It stopped before it was finished. It tore half way through the mouth, but no further. So the disk is connected on one half. It has two fully formed feet.

I figured it would eventually complete the split, but nothing so far.

This was a good sized nem to start - 18"+ when expanded. It's the first split.

I'm concerned because I can't feed it with out a formed mouth. The tentacles seemed to have shortened a bit. I fear it is not getting the intake it needs. (fyi 3x250mh)

Does anyone think we should finish the propogation at this point? The tentacles are sticky, and it seems otherwise healthy.

Thanks!

I think it'll be OK either way. You can take a razor and complete the split if it's stressing you out. I've done that quite a few times. I also wouldn't worry about feeding it. I can't remember the last time I intentionally fed mine, and they are huge. They get most of what they need from the light imho. As long as it's other wise healthy, I wouldn't sweat it too much what ever you decide.
