Peppermint Shrimp loves coral....

Personally, FWIW i've always felt as though freezing is just as cruel as boiling since both take time to act.

I usually place my irreversibly sick into a cup of very strong alcohol such as 151 or the like since the alcohol euthanizes them and while yes they may be suffocating I suppose, they also become "drunk" in a sense so I would think it'd hurt them less. Then again I have recently gone to a quarantine for all sick critters and if they are so sick that they die, well atleast they died naturally in my eyes.

anyways back to the actual issue, ive had peppermints, im sure they were peps and not camels, ive seen them side by side and they ate my frogspawn down to the skeleton, but there was just enough to let it grow back over the course of a loong time. they were even eating my pociliopora. i see posts like this all the time, i dont know why people consider them reef safe at all, even if they are hit and miss, those animals are usually considered non reef safe, like butterflies or something

I might have to subscribe to this thread. I thought the fish ring was good, but this looks like we might get a few different views on this one. Im going to play Switzerland:D

If you are going to make posts like this you are going to need the right smiley :p

Very Funny,
Believe it or not I ate shrimp last night.

But you miss my point, based on your post count can we assume you are new in the hobby?
Maybe you are not aware of the pressure we have been coming under for the past years, pressure from new regulation, new restrictions etc.... and it all boils down to responsible purchases and responsible attitudes regarding the animals we keep.

So maybe you were not aware, maybe just a little new but,
A post like that hits a nerve in a couple of ways;
1) it's that exact attitude that threatens this hobby (a hobby where I happen to make my living)
2) I'm also not thrilled with anyone that gets a kick out of torturing any living thing, I don't care if it is "just a shrimp" (but that's just a personal thing)

again sorry for the rant,
Here's to your tank being healthy and choosing animals that will thrive :)

Well it is what the BRS group charter is based around so not really a rant IMHO just the educational part of the charter
