Peppermints with Coral Banded shrimp?

JayM

Is the algae gone yet?

Can peppermints peacefully coexist with a BIG coral banded shrimp? Snails and hermits seem fine with him.

That is funny I guess they are like fish with all being different. I was always told I couldn't so I only have peppermints.

I'm gonna find out very shortly. 4 are going into my tank, with the coral band shrimp, various hermits and snails, 2 false perculas, a yellow tang and a flame angel

We'll see if it's 25 bucks worth of scampi, or if they can start mowing down my aiptasia....got a few in there

We had one, plus two skunks, three bloods, and three peps, never had a problem.

Our CBS ate a HUGE peppermint. Was chewing on it with one claw looking like he was smoking a cigar. Ours was very easy going for the first 4 years and then has been a big meany for over two years. He's working his way to the mantis tank. He even started pinching the fish recently.

Not what I was hoping to read. They're already in the tank, so hopefully that won't be happening.

My CBB actually acts as a cleaner for the tang, and has even put a claw in and cleaned inside the tang's mouth!

Jay, keeps us up to date on this one... I am intrested in your results here.

I had some pepermints and bloods with Coral banded... not sure what happened but the only guy that was left was the CB.

I also have a CBS with 2 skunk cleaners and a few pepermints. The CBS starts twitching and charging anything that gets to close to him but so far it is just a big show. They have all been together for about 6 months.
