Phyto Question

Not sure if anyone has encountered this before. I’m leaving on vacation tomorrow and I have a batch of Phyto in the fridge. I’ll only be gone for 6 days.

Would it be better to put it back in the vessels with and air pump in the fridge? Or would it be better to keep it outside the fridge with an air pump? I’m good either way but didn’t know if you could take it back out and warm it to room temp again. Thanks.

In that case your best bet is to probably just leave it out with an air line in it. Probably wouldn’t hurt to put a little f2 in it aswell.

Gotcha. I like that idea better. Haha. I will have to get rolling with that.

Unfortunately didn’t have time to sterilize salt water so I ended up aerating it again with lights and some F2. Hopefully it’s good.

Just got back from vacation and went to bottle up the Phyto. I noticed the air pump really didn’t keep it stirred up very much. I ended up shaking it up and it seemed really chunky. One was really dark in color and one was lighter. I did the smell test and they both smelled like grass. I’m a little newer to Phyto so I was wondering if it was still good? Unfortunately, I don’t have a microscope to see. If they’re good, I’ll start another batch tomorrow. Pic below. Thanks!

You might want to consider giving the lighter one a dose of F/2 ... if it's "on the way out", it probably already is I type this.

I figured it might be. I am going to start a new batch today anyway.

Agreed. Try more fertilizer in the lighter one and try and harvest/split the darker one...

Definitely splitting the darker one. I might just chuck the lighter on. It has a bunch of floaties at the top.
