I have a harem of scribbled angels. They are sick I am assuming it is fluke specifically mongenic trematodes. I have used prazipro, and I am on 2nd dose. I Praziproed last Tuesday morning followed by a 30% water change Saturday night, and then the addition of another ounce of Prazipro. Tank volume is 120 gallons
My skimmer is off, Carbon, and purigen is out. I added an airstone. I have a sump with cheato, 2 mangroves, and running phosban, and a sulfur nitrate reactor.
The reason that I believe this to be flukes is because the fish shake violently back and forth.
They are molesting my cleaner shrimp, and they will open their gill flaps, and mouth very wide.
There are white dots on the eyes looking like Ich, but to my knowledge fish don't get ich on their eyes it is usually flukes.
Upon freshwater dripping I did see some flukes come off, but it wasn't hundreds of them from what I could tell. I did dip the two larger fish in the pictures on Wednesday in Methylene blue freshwater dip followed by a 50 minute formalin dip.
I thought Prazipro would kill the flukes pretty quickly, but one of the angels eyes has gotten cloudier since treatment. (to be far it got cloudier after the stress from the dip, but its been a couple of days and has not receded)
Another thing that I noticed is my heater has not been working so temp went down to 73. I put in a backup heater so this shouldn't be an issue anymore.
Thoughts?????
Water chemistry is fine. Checked today
