I have a harem of scribbled angels. They are sick I am assuming it is fluke specifically mongenic trematodes. I have used prazipro, and I am on 2nd dose. I Praziproed last Tuesday morning followed by a 30% water change Saturday night, and then the addition of another ounce of Prazipro. Tank volume is 120 gallons
My skimmer is off, Carbon, and purigen is out. I added an airstone. I have a sump with cheato, 2 mangroves, and running phosban, and a sulfur nitrate reactor.

The reason that I believe this to be flukes is because the fish shake violently back and forth.
They are molesting my cleaner shrimp, and they will open their gill flaps, and mouth very wide.
There are white dots on the eyes looking like Ich, but to my knowledge fish don't get ich on their eyes it is usually flukes.
Upon freshwater dripping I did see some flukes come off, but it wasn't hundreds of them from what I could tell. I did dip the two larger fish in the pictures on Wednesday in Methylene blue freshwater dip followed by a 50 minute formalin dip.
I thought Prazipro would kill the flukes pretty quickly, but one of the angels eyes has gotten cloudier since treatment. (to be far it got cloudier after the stress from the dip, but its been a couple of days and has not receded)
Another thing that I noticed is my heater has not been working so temp went down to 73. I put in a backup heater so this shouldn't be an issue anymore.

Thoughts?????
Water chemistry is fine. Checked today
KH-11.2
CA-380
MG1,300
ph-8.2
NH4-0
No3-5ppm

Formalin bath should fix it. PM iF you want to know how to use it.

I did the formalin bath I believe. I freshwater dipped for 12 minutes with methylene blue, and then I put the fish in a formalin bath for 50 minutes while aerating the bucket.

How much water/Formalin did you use

And how long has it been since?

Here are some pics of their eyes.

Pic 1,2,4 are the female scribble...... she is in the roughest shape. Originally the male was in the roughest shape, but he looks better. He is still not eating. The female is obviously not eating as well. She might blindly attempt to get some garlic soaked food, but not eating with the original appetite she used to have. Part of me wants to move her to a separate tank. Freshwater dip her with methylene blue, and then move her into another tank, and treat. Any advice on treatments???? It think she is developing ich as secondary infection because she is stressed. Part of me wants to leave her alone as I just performed a freshwater dip followed by formalin bath on Wednesday.

potassium permanganate, I'm not sure where you would get some that fast. This is one that I don't have.

10mg per litre of of water 20min

Geeze, from the pic I'd say a bacterial infection in the eyes and a whole bunch of ick. I have no exp with flukes so I can't comment on that part, but didn't you say you saw some come off when you did a dip?

What size tank are these guys in, and how crowded is it?

you have a major outbreak of ich , you need copper or hypo thats it u should stop dumping chrmicals in to ur tank ,and wasting youre money . the quicker u are familiarized with the method u are going to use the better the angels will be

he said 120 gallons of water witch i think is on the low end but ok .he also stated water volume so i know hes got like a 90 and a sump imo maybe im wrong

also they are youre fish but ,i would stop dipping them ,the reason bieng you throw them right back into whatever youre trying to get rid off and the gills get it again .plus dipiing is probly the biggest stress for them

hypo or copper ,no lights and make them a buffet and throw garlic on it mix clams shrimp mysis ,and
spirunela with angel formula ,should get them to eat , mussels squid also
