I need some advice with plumbing. My current tank is AIO and my upgrade I will be going with an actual sump.
I ordered a shadow box overflow box from Synergy reefs. It has 3 1.5" slip fittings. I also just ordered a Trigger System sump. The sump has 2 bulkheads which are both 1". So my question is is it ok to use a reducer bushing to go from the 1.5" pvc to 1" pvc? (I'm pretty sure Synergy said it would be ok to do that but cannot remember)
My next question: if i can use reducer bushings on those 3 drain lines is it best to put them up top towards the overflow box or lower, just above the bulkhead? I am hoping higher up is better because 1" unions and valves seem to be much cheaper than the 1.5". Any advice is appreciated! Trying to get this plumbing thing figured out
