Just found what i need, This will sound an alarm if you loose power. It is made by reliance controls, Part number THP207.$15.00 Looks like home depot has them, Bob is there now hopefully they are in stock. You all may want to add one to your house. All our generators will do no good if we sleep through the outages... Good luck tonight everyone.

Yeah pretty clear the power is already out :(

NP alarm needed

I'm still on ,I hope it does not go out while i'm sleeping, I'm sure i wont be getting to much sleep tonight.... You need to order the alarm on line :mad:

We are on generator power Tanks is on life supporting power for now. Gen-tran switch was worth every penny

I can hear tree going down out back left and right. Trees in my front yard are making far too much noise for my comfort. We have lots of heavy wet snow and old pine trees ::

And to top it off we just started getting lightning :rolleyes:

One of the benefits of city life, and no trees. Good luck to all without power. Every winter I want to get a generator, but with them at work, and in the family(in-laws) not real high on the list.

Holly Dog POOP...... Stay safe

Keeping my fingers crossed that I don't need to break out the generator tonight. Also watching a friends tank while he is away and really hoping I don't need to take the drive in the middle of the storm to his house because the power is out.

thunder snow ::

xome flickers here in southborough, but no outages (yet). Wind is HOWLING up here on our hill, at last 6" of snow on the ground already, and it is blowing around.

No power outage thread should go without mention of the penplax B11 battery back up air pump that comes on automatically when the power goes out. $12 that can save your reef :)

LOL...quote of the week, Michelle :D

We had a lot of branches down around the yard, but thankfully, no trees. The power was out for 12 hours, but the generator ran smoothly throughout. We had the kids camp out on the living room floor. My grandparents weren't so lucky with trees/branches. they had a large maple come down in their yard that grazed the house. A large pine tree branch went through the roof and into a closet.

guess I know where Greg was today ;)

more importantly, did Zack and Erica get their new toys' batteries recharged yet? :p

Grandpa being Grandpa is patching his roof himself. 81 and can't be held back! He already put a temporary patch up until he can get the snow/ice off more to replace the section.

Zack has taken the quad for a ride already. It went for quite a while (40 min?) and was still running strong, even with the thick snow. The jeep charged up nicely and is working (at least in short spurts in the house). We'll wait until the ground clears for the jeep. Until then, it's used as part of a drive-in theater set-up. LOL They are thrilled to pieces. :)
