PVC Primer will MELT a vinyl floor

Not sure how many people know this
but the primer & probably the cement - will MELT your vinyl floor

But I thought I would pass it on
It's something you may not think about, but could really ruin your day
 
There was a guy on RC that posted something about how he dripped some on his floor and his wife was going to be home shortly and kill him. I did like one of the ideas about putting a plant in the middle of the kitchen and that she might not notice:D
 
It also makes a nice stain on your carpet. :)

PVC = polyvinyl chloride

Vinyl is just slang for polyvinyl chloride.

Primer and cement both work by melting the PVC before you fuse the two segments together, so it sure will melt your floor just as easily. In fact, it will melt most plastics.

That's because it instantly disolves the polyeurethane. I've done it to 2 spots on my coffee table...I was so pissed.
