question about clown gobies

I have a yellow clown goby, and I would like to get another. Is this a good idea? Will they pair up? If it is ok to get two for my tank, can I pair up my yellow clown goby with a different color variation (i.e. green or citron)?

Watch out, green or citron gobies have been known to be sps nippers if you have a reef. If not, they get along fine.

ask dawn if they play nice with sps...a few choice words id think.
however keeping multiples of them is possible.

Arg! Yellow clown goby = evil. I think you need to have a giant tank full of 2 foot wide colonies before it's not noticeable.

Clown gobies can under go bidirectional sex changes, so if you get 2 of the same species they'll breed. Breeding pairs can do lots of damage to sps colonies as the gobies tend to clear flesh off the coral to make a nest. Adding another species is a little hit or miss. I tried adding a black clown goby but he spent all of his time chasing my green and yellow clown gobies. If you can, try to introduce the gobies at the same time. I wouldn't pair a citron w/ a yellow clown as the citron is about 2x its size and could easily prevent the other goby from eating if it was so inclinded.
