Question on 2 seperate sumps for a 180?

Is there one under 23" tall that will handle roughly 210 gallons well stocked for under $400?

if you use a true union check valve, and every other month or so pull it out to clean it, you shouldn't have any problem with the check valve :)

I mean beef up the supports but keep the same height....

knock the floor out...... and replace with stripping around the sump.
you'll get a 24" in ther no problem.

how would a check valve work on a drain line that is gravity fed, and water only flows one way? if the sumps arent connected and one pump fails, it would be quite a flood, because the other pump would keep feeding.

Maybe levels would even out? plumbing is still a mystery to me!

I understand the knock out the floor part but what do you mean by stripping around the sump? Thanks for the help!

when you take out the shelf there is a pice of wood thats around the stand to hold up the shelf
you in stall the sump then attach a pice of wood to the wood thats surounds your stand (where the shelf was)
you place them front to back so the stand wont bow from the wate from the tank

Could i just saw out the amount of space i need for my sump and refugium? Then leave the rest alone?
