quick question about mp40

Is it ok to use the mp40 without that black rubber gasket on the outside of the glass?

the black rubber gasket is meant to provide extra space on thinner glass, i would see how thick the glass is and compare it to the manual. i know because on my mp10 it says use the black rubber gasket if the glass is less than X"

The user manual for a mp10 says to only use the rubber pad on tanks under 1/4 inch thick

my tank is only a 90 so i would assume i wouldnt need it, but then again i thought it was meant for a vibration muffler

yea mp40 is stronger than mp10 so def us it on a 90. on my 90 i have my mp10 and i dont need it.
