Random clownfish appeared in my tank

when I set up my tank, the first and only clowns I added to my tank were from @Seapets. They were a mix between phantoms and Wyoming whites. Therefore they are only black and white designs. I got a total of 7 (all of which are accounted for in my display!
I was feeding fish today and I thought I saw something swimming in my overflow, and sure enough there is a full-size orange and white (traditional looking) clownfish.
Right now he’s basically stuck in there cause I have no idea if I can get it out or how
But the bigger question is where the heck did it come from?
Is it possible my clowns had babies and one of the fry made its way in there and found a way to live? Seems like a crazy thought, and why would this one be orange?
I’m very puzzled.

The parents when they breed a mixture of Wyoming‘s and phantoms there is some that come out to be regular Nemo locking type orange and white stripes. Some of them come out to be with Miss bars as well.

It's always been my understanding that the fry required special care to make it. I'd the orange clown smaller than the rest ?

Nature always finds a way. If it's a well established tank with a pods and other food then I dont see why it is not possible although rare. When I had a clutch of Banggai Cardinalfish in my sump I thought I had all acounted for but I ended up finding one swiming arround months after. Other than being a little smaller it was fine just feeding on whatever it could find.

Sincerely doubt a fry survived and lived through meta in the tank without a helping hand.

Not saying i have the answer but 99.9% sure thats not it.

Welp I thought I was the only one to think that clowns needed special care to make it.

Yes, they do in order to survive. They need special care.

I forgot about reading that article how someone goes out and feeds the baby clownfish in the ocean. Such special care!

Believe me, I am well aware of the care needed as I had a breeding setup many years ago. However, I cannot find a logical explanation as to where this clown fish came from and how it ended up in my overflow when I personally never added it to my tank. If somehow it came stuck in a rock or something I would’ve at some point seen it swimming around my display. That’s not the case. I have never seen this fish before outside of seeing it in my overflow. It does appear to be juvenile, however, definitely established.
P.s. I still have no idea how to get him out of there. There’s no room for A net and I can’t get lucky enough to scoop him with my hand. Any thoughts?

But in all seriousness, that is awesome! If you didn’t buy him, and no one else in the house is pulling a prank on you.

Then the only logical answer is… “first come love, then comes marriage, then comes a baby in the over-flow.”
