rbta lighting requirements

I am considering getting a rbta and was wondering if my tek t5 setup would be enough?

Its the 6bulb version. I have had a few before but always had a metal halide.

What size/height tank?

IME BTA/RBTAs are pretty adaptable to just about any med to strong lighting. My RBTAs seem content under 6x39W T5 in a 57 G tank. Deeper might be pushing it...

Should be more than enough. I haven't found BTAs to need much light at all really. For me, they always tend to settle into spots between about 75-150PAR. So, that really isn't much at all, I think you could get than with PCs on most tanks...

I've never tried to keep them in lower light so I can't comment on that. (should have said so in the first place )

We had no problems keeping a BTA in 29" tall tank(110) with Tek t-5 4 bulb setup, I wouldn't worry about it.

ok thanks...i found a good deal with rtba and hosting clown pair. Figured i'd jump on it but just wanted to make sure my light is enough.

I kept mine under 2 stunner strips that I just sold, no problem.
