re-sealing 40 breeder advice

so I got a 40 breeder from a fellow reefer and i left it outside for the first freeze and I think that's what caused a leak in the seal at the bottom of the tank the glass isn't cracked at all just the seal at the bottom... so I am wondering if it is ok to re seal the bottom with silicone? would this be safe to do or not worth risking seems like its simple. any advise well appreciated. thanks mason

Is this the tank you got from me? Where was it leaking from? I wouldn't expect the weather to cause problems that quick. Do you see any tears or anything in the silicone where it is leaking?

yea it is im not sure what the problem is I have to investigate a little bit I left it outside for like a couple of days and it rained and then the water froze so I brought it inside so the water would melt was careful because I have heard that the water freezing can crack it and when the water melted me and a friend brought it outside to poor the water out and water started to come out on the bottom by where the tag was but came out the top part of the frame... I dont see any problems with the seal I have to try some tests I guess to see exactly where it is coming from

Did the water expand when it froze and pull apart a seam?

Seems like that is what happened I have to investigate a little more on exactly where the leak is I have heard of that happening
