I'm pumped at how much better i am with my camera though lol.

the only difference i could see was polyp extension.... I would have no idea about authenticity.... But they look great :)

really hard to tell... most of the "real deal" pink lemonades i see in peoples tank are pretty slow growing, and tend to have a more yellow base, where as the ORA RP tends to have a greener base. Based off the photo if you didn't say they were both pink lemonade i would guess that they were both pieces of red planet, but that would just be a guess, it doesn't mean that they aren't PL.

Personally i get a bit suspicious when i see a PL offered as a PL but the sellers picks has it with no yellow (essentially a red/pink acro) they say that the yellow disappears under high light, but i've seen lots of yellow on ones under really intense light, and i know that it's the real deal..

Either way though, two very nice pieces you have.

Niether one is real pink lemonade. True pink lemonade's look nothing like red planets. 90%The ones going around this club do look like red planets. The true PL has completely different growth structure then any mille or red planet. The tips on the true pl have multiple coralites. Most of the ones around these parts have a single point like a mille or red planet. I have gone over this before to much debate so I will post pics so you can judge yourself.
Nice pics though. Thats still a nice piece but if you want to be sure, buy it from someone reputable in CA.

Basically what i was trying to say too.. i just didn't wanna be definite on it. Guess Nick know's his PL better than I do =).

I have the ones you have as well. I bought this piece 3 times in this club and always get the same one you have in the pic. Then I got it from someone outside the club and finally it looks like all the pics I see on OTHER sites.
People say different tanks and flow and nutrients changes the coral and thats true to a degree, but I have both in the same tank. The true PL should have lots of yellow and pink polyps, and multiple coralite structures at the tips. also 1 single hairlike polyp on each coralite will be longer then the rest.

sounds good.. thought so.. save me a frag nick..ill be picking up a bunch from you.. at least i know you wont sell me the wrong one

Looks like i'm going to have to name these.. off to reef2reef.

Its not so much anyones selling you the wrong ones intentionally Steve. Believe me most of these guys who have this are certain its real.I have argued over this more then once and hopefully this won't go that route as well. Although I dont see how you can think so if you do some research...They really don't look alike at all.

not new at all.. its amazing once you learn how to use a camera the pictures you can take lol.. its the same point and shoot i've always used just learned how to use it.. and same thing with photobucket.. once you learn how to use it its great. i want to figure out how to kinda fade my backgrounds to black but im not that worried about it

yea if you take a good look i can definitely tell by the coralites structure yours talking about.

Thats funny. Yeah you definately can get decent pics out of a point and shoot if you don't just point and shoot. I use a p&s all the time and I love it. I'll send you a link so with $25 you can get an atachment to take some sweet macros.

Thanks for the support Liam. This is a touchy subject with alot of folks here. I am usually out on a limb when I talk about this. Lol.

curious..attachment to the camera? Didn't know you could attach things to a p&s

Yeah, theres a ring at the base of the lense that comes off if you push some button and an extension tube can clip ito its place, then the extension tube has magnifying lenses on the end of it. $25 on E bay.......
