Really, really crappy discovery......

Did we call and explain to customer service? You couldn't have caused that. Its all on them.

just found out tonight, will call them tomorrow and see what they have to say.

I want to thank my reefer friends who talked me down from the bell tower tonight.

I just about went postal when I saw that defect. THis has just taken so long, and I was really close.

Shouldn't matter tank is under warranty, these are the guy who used to make tanks for Oceanic, lets hope the have customer service like Oceanic did..

i really hope my comment didnt sound in a manner that was too negative... wasnt my intent... and your right, it should be under warranty... jus saying, its always good to check things out upon receipt... but again, your right, if they are reputable, it shouldnt matter one bit...

GL jay

So bummed for you Jay. Hopefully they make right and this is just a little bump in the road.

What's another 8 weeks added to a year long build? Hang in there....

Wow Jay, just when I think you can't possibly have something else go wrong for you...

I hope they replace it for you quickly and you can get back on track!

Sorry to hear about this road block in your plans,Jay.
Hope everything gets corrected quickly and you're back on track again.

the next 2 hours until I can call them are going to be long ones.....

Just make sure you breath when you call them.. Remember you can catch more bees with huney.. That's a stupid expression..

you start t wonder in your head if the windshield repair places could do something with it....then you look at the defect in the glass, and you say ain't no <inserts asterisks here> way.

Well, the first tact I took was with the store where I bought it.

They've requested pictures.

Thank you to the photographer on site last night for some excellent pictures, even with a crappy cell phone camera.

Tom Petty was right....the waiting is the hardest part.

Sounds promising.....the pictures definitely paint the picture of a factory defect.

the pictures are with the store, and they have forwarded them to the manufacturer's rep. Stay tuned......

If all goes well, removing it will be the least of my worries. If they don't warranty the tank, then I am faced with something I am not looking forward to at all.

Yes, but how many will we go through, and how many cut fingers?

That really stinks Jay. Patience is everything in this hobby and you've done your fair share.

One String. No cut fingers, but we will need a dowel

I think that you will be taking the lead on this part of the fix and I'll be standing back taking notes :)
You just wrap the guitar string around the dowel and use that to hold at either end and then just slice away. I'm sure you could figure that out John:)
