Recharging GFO

With the way things are going with the economy and prices are going up I was thinking if there is a way to recharge Ferric Oxide (GFO). I remember hearing very long time ago that it is possible is there any truth to this, is it possible and how do you do it?

Anyone knows anything about that?

The stuff from kent you can just bake in the oven. I believe it had directions for doing so on the container. I use magnavore pura-fos, I am not sure there is a way to recharge it. If there is I would love to know, so I will tag along and see what we find out.

Thanks I would love to know too. Not to change the subject I would prefer not to, but does anyone have experience with this product and how good it claims it is it has recharging instructions as well.

Neither GFO nor any solid binder of phosphate can be recharged by baking in an oven. The phosphate just sits there.

One may be able to wash off much or all of the phosphate using a lot of fresh or salt water that has no phosphate in it (I've shown that with salt water and GFO with an eye toward showing that the binding was reversible, not to recharging the media itself). The problem is that it may take so much water as to make it not cost or time effective.
