Rectangular Fiji Cube

That is a vivid confetti. It has gone through quite the transformation in my tank. When I got the frag it was similar in shape, but super thin. The colors were much more typical to most confetti frags, light green base/body, white-ish branches and bright purple/pink tips.

The frag looked ok for two months, then it started to basically pale out over a month or so. I first thought it was getting too much light, I almost moved it, but also thought it could be from my tank being new, and me getting Dino’s, and removing sand and disturbing things. So I left it where I mounted it. It got worse in color for about 6 months, then It made a serious comeback. However when it started to color up, it just got deeper and deeper colors. Mostly purple, however there is a green to the branches, much deeper than the original green. And the purple just gets darker every day it seems. Also it hasn’t really grown at all. It has gotten much thicker all around, and based out a little but not much actual growth. I have had it for a year. I will post a series of pictures.

Frag when I got it. 8/25/23

Some top down shots from tonight…

Poletti yellow tips, PC Rainbow, and Tyree PL, which was in a bad spot for awhile and got this weird dark shaded spot on it. Hopefully it keeps coloring up.

I feel like everybody needs to share random daylight pictures every now and then!
I agree. A daylight shot is always refreshing. It’s tough because I do love the corals under blues. Plus I am only home for an hour or so during white period during the week

Here are a couple daylight shots.

WWC Fantasmo Favia. I can’t seem to get the orange on the outside of the green rim that some people can. Some pics I see have the green by the mouth then it fades to orange before the red. I have tried higher light and it definitely does not like that!!
