reef dynamics ins135

what size tank do you have? total water volume? type of setup? jus curious... seems like a good price, but i dont know anything about the manufacturer, or anyone that has utilized this brand before... sorry, wish i could be more help, but maybe with some specs of your setup, together we can all come up with a consensus on how it might perform with your setup :)

I highly recommend them . Ever heard of EuroReef ? Well that's who they are .
I finally got over my big boy build and just recently got rid of my CS 12-1 . It is a beast . It never got wet . I have seen plenty of them run . Hence the purchase .
It used two pumps .. Yes that is a salt bucket ..
Some will say too old school but they are consistent ..
Here was a pic since it's best to express first hand knowledge right ?

holy cow Percy! lol, you still got that bad boy? what kind of skimmer do you use now? i forgot from you build thread, sorry bud :)

thats about the size of my Reef Octo 300 extreme... is also a dual pump... and i love it!

Off track but ... It is rated for a 300 gallon tank and that's being conservative on what he can handle.
I sold it to a nice guy in Cali in May 2011 .It would have used a 75 gallon for the sump (minimum) . Cup was 13.25 wide . Cost 141 dollars to ship it UPS ground .. GRRR !!.
I use the SWC 120 on the nano . I have a Deltec Turbo on loan .. (prolly never see it again ) ...what r friends for ....
I still have the SKIMZ KONE SK - 201 in a box in the laundry room.
Good luck to the OP . ER's are still in use today . They have a pretty loyal following

If I was getting a new skimmer I would go with a reef dynamic I have heard good things.

I agree with mordibv out of the several skimmers I've used the Euro was definitely the most consistent and least troublesome with good results.

My last skimmer was a Euro Reef 80. It worked like a champ. I will be in the market for a new skimmer soon and have decided on Reef Dynamics. I looked into Super Reef Octopus, as well as several others and I jsut really like the Reef Dynamics the best. Also, Jay (Jays Aquatics) is only carrying Reef Dynamics skimmers now - that's where I'll be getting mine from. You can take a ride up, last time I was there he had several in stock if you wanna see them in person.

I don't know if there are any substantial differences on the new ones, but the gatevalve mod is a snap on the old ER skimmers. No permenant mods, just stick the plumbing parts together. Makes adjustment easier and more consistent, definately worth doing IMO.
