Reefer
It says reef lobster can be very peacfull towards tank mates.. then again.. im wondering if i was to get a pistol shrimp to live with my goby.. could there be problems....

my roommate wants one and he has done some reading. Most of the people he has talked to say it will be fine. He even asked b/c he has a pistol and has been told they should be alright together. I would still say be cautious and maybe find someone who has better experience in the matter...hth though

I just had to remove my purple lobster.. he had a taste for fish.

New Rule for my tank:
No predatory clawed crustaceans allowed

I've had a purple reef lobster in a tank with just damsels, and while the lobster wasn't ever able to catch any damsels, it isn't because he didn't try. :P

Are you calling a pistol shrimp a reef lobster? Pistols on the whole are okay but you have to get the right kind of pistol to pair with the right kind of goby. Lobsters are a different story -- I need to catch my lobster because he ate my one remaining blue chromis who slept low in the tank. Sigh. The clown and bengaii are safe as they sleep higher up.
