Couldn't agree more.... some one in a Crappy spot decided to gift there system to just have it sold when I bet they just wanted some one to enjoy it as he couldn't anymore...

Build your dream and then have to let it go cheap with just the hope someone can enjoy it as much as you did once and it never gets setup and all sold off that’s sad.

I get where everyone is coming from but this hobby is buying selling and trading. There isn't one of us in this hobby who hasn't bought a system took what we wanted and sold the rest. There isn't one of us who hasn't bought corals to take what we want and frag rest up to sell or trade that's the hobby. The seller got what he asked for and that was for 500 and it to be gone if he wanted it any other way it was his choice to ask for more or sell it in pieces. We don't know the situation but we do know the seller posted it at his own free will and a buyer got it and now it's his to do what he wants with it. And I'm sorry for the sellers situation but I'm also happy someone was able to get it and lessen the stress on the seller because for selling it that cheap and not breaking it up that's evidently was his main concern at that time. Just my thoughts my fellow reefers.

I give away what I don't want when I do breakdowns. Just terrible morals imo. This is why I don't give free corals away anymore.... I have sold off my setups from divorces twice and I am happy sold it to some one that helped me when I was ready to get back in and didn't have to see it posted the next week for more money.... Either way when original owner decides to get back in I have rock some corals and even a basic system he could have to get back in hope SpongeBob does the same....

We all know he got the deal of a lifetime. like the post above says the seller listed it for a price unfortunate. He was the first one to respond and go immediately to pick this up. I’m pretty sure breaking down. The system was probably a lot of work.it’s also an opportunity for other Reefers hereto get some real nice used equipment at a reasonable cost, we know nobody pays what people are asking there’s always room for negotiation that’s the nice thing about the group of individuals in the club.. This kind of stuff has been going on since I’ve been a forum member back in 2014 and I’m sure it was happening well before that because people come and go in this hobby and usually when they’re getting out, they need to get out quick.

100% I would and did try to buy it but with the intent to set it up. If there’s extra components or parts you won’t use as it doesn’t fit your build then sure sell on or trade for a deal. I get the other side of it just a little off putting to me but like you said name of the game for some.
