Reef Retreat! Who is going?

This looks to be a epic event at Roger Williams this June with great speakers!!! I inquired about not staying over night as I will have a newborn at home. Hope I can make this event seems will be amazing and definitely would learn something new... Any one else looking to attend?

Hi all! I'm in NW Vermont - there's not a lot of reefers up here, and we don't have a reef-specific club, but BRS is probably the closest active club to me. I'm already registered for Reef Retreat, and am very excited about it! It will be my first reefing conference, and I'm hoping to meet some BRS members at the event - is anyone else registered already?

I'm also hoping my schedule (I'm a teacher, so traveling during the school year is not easy) works out to make it to some BRS events at some point this year, possibly Fragsgiving.

I emailed their organizer a while back asking about a "local attendee" ticket which would not include lodging. He responded thus on 2/21/25:

"We have gotten several requests from and have been discussing an option for locals that doesn’t include lodging. It will be a few weeks before we look at opening that option up. We’ll send you an email."

I'll post in this thread when I hear more. It seems a no-brainer to offer a "locals ticket"

I have gotten no response and about to say I will just do what I want and book it and I won't stay..

Sorry, I think I caused some confusion that got pass on to you. I am not sure if there are going to be single day passes, but we will be discussing that. There will be tickets that don't include lodging. Again I apologize for any confusion, and we should have this all figured out soon.

Package 4 has been added to the reef retreat sign up page, but is not yet listed on https://www.reefretreat.org/reservations-tickets. When you go to the buy tickets link, look for package 4 "Self- lodging, meals available for purchase"

Like was mentioned, package 4 is not on the landing page, nor is it visible when you click the "buy tickets" but if you register and login, during the checkout process there is Option 4 which is $379 which is attendance, no lodging, no meals.

Of possible note, for $499, you get attendance, lodging, and 6 meals. So if you consider the meals worth $20 each (not sure if you would have breakfast and dinner there) it might be worth it to just do the $499 option. Then you could sublet your dorm room as an air bnb for the night! additional savings! kidding... kidding...

I will have to think on it I suppose. almost $200/day is pretty stout as a non-industry person. Great to have the option though
