I really like the butterfly fish and was wondering if anyone has had any experience keeping them in a reef environment, and if so what type of butterfly did you have?

I have had 3 copperband butterflies.. and yes 3 because they all had died on me. They are beautiful fishes but very hard to keep so i decided to invest in other stuff to make my water quality much better and might try them again in the near future.

I have a copper band and all soft coral he is fine in the tank and i know it is to small for him... My book Says The only reef safe butterfly is the big long nose.(Forcipiger longirostris) Not the Common Yellow long nose(Forcipiger Flavissimus)...

WOW 3 That sucks. Its not the quality its just them they need to be wicked happy With tons of room and feed what they want not what you want to feed them mine loves live brine and if i mix it with frozen he knows and gets mad and wont eat. I Belive i am selling mine due to my move he wont make it in a bag 4 a day again....
