Does anyone use live critters in there refugiums?
If so what?
I currently have LR,LS and Cheato (and whatever clingers I have in the cheato).
Thanks

I have a few Scarlet crabs hanging out in my fuge, they have been in there forever so I figure they are eating and cleaning something up. That is about it for my fuge other then the cheato and sand.

I have non reef safe star fish and some over aggressive hermits. Some have been in there for a while.

serpents and nassarius snails are good for the detritus in refugiums

I've got serpents, nassarius snails, red leg crabs, coral banded shrimp, Mexican turbo snail, sand sifting star and and emerald crab.

serpents? Serpent stars?

I need to go get myself a little bag of "Sump-Cleaning-Crew Pro!" or something, the only critters I have seen are 2 tiny sand sifting stars that came hitch-hiking in on a piece of LR I got, I see nothing in the chaeto or anywhere else in the sump.

hermits and turbo. . . i need some stars tho.

off topic. . . who would win? choc chip star or aiptasia?

I have chato, LR, LS, and soon my emerald will be tossed in there from the display. Hes getting a little too touchy with my corals.

I have got cheato, a bunch of small hermits, a ton of mini feather dusters, several snails, and a population of asterina stars. I also have aiptasia growing. I need to add a bunch of peppermint shrimp to the mix along with some mini brittle stars

i had mexican turbo's in my HOB refugium.. he/she was sucking down my cheato like an all you can eat buffet!

many, many pods, bristle worms, few hermits, and crabzilla.
