Just a friendly reminder! I managed to get by for a year without ever having tank leaks or problems. This morning my filter sock was so clogged the water was overflowing out of it and some of it was going over the rim of my sump. You could also avoid this by keeping the top of your filter sock lower than your sump rim. DEE DEE DEE. Well my dumbass didnt think of that and ive been neglecting the tank trying to sell the last of my livestock so i can close down shop. Anyways long story short it went through the floor and dripped out into the kitchen.. about 2 gallons. good thing i caught it when i did it could have been much worse.
The funny thing is, i sat here for 20 mins listening to my tank make weird sounds because the water level was low and didnt think anything of it.... i was on the pc distracted. Yes i fail at life i know. Anyways folks dont be a schmuck like me!
