Removing aquarium scrapes & scratches

Is there any possible way to get rid, or at least reduce scratches on the interior of the aquarium? I've got quite a few small scratches that were barely noticable untill hard algae got lodged in them and now they are really standing out. Is there anything I can do about this? or am I just SOL?

If its glass, don't fall for the scratch removers, you can buff with them until your arms fall off, new tank is the best way to go.

Sounds like your SOL.....or you have a reason for a bigger tank:D

:( I cant upgrade until I move, hopfuly some time next year. Im looking to get a custom 4'x4'x2' for my next tank. I cant wait till I have some depth to play around with.

aaahh but a 239 Gallon beast would be worth the wait:). If it makes you feel any better Jen will only agree to going to a 30-45G tank next year..ooo well thats still 3-4 times larger then what we have now.

You can remove scratches from glass with sand paper and buffing/polishing. Fish out of the tank and dry of course. A lot of work, new tank would be better.
