Removing trim from 29 gal?

I did some research on the bottom edge before and the trim is more so cosmetic and designed to absorb the bumps and knocks so the glass doesn’t get chipped when moving. The top trim however is structural and holds it from bursting outwards but with your euro brace plan I don’t see that being an issue I believe quite a few have done that in the past.

Anyone know if the glass on the front and back need to span the whole 30” of the tank? I found some glass from a tank I took apart, but it is 24” long. I would have eurobraces span from the back to front as well.

29g is a pretty tall tank and glass is so thin . I wouldn't take the plastic trim off on the 29g tank though.
The 20g long might be okay but I wouldnt do it on the 29g
I am not just removing it, I was planning on replacing it with a euro brace(top and bottom). The glass also seems pretty thick for its size (3/16”), seems close to my 45 gallon(24x24x18).

I've removed the top and bottom braces of a 40 gal breeder many years ago
and did not euro brace anything tank still going
Now if ure that worry just cut some 90's for the corners and you will be fine
I fixed my RedSea reefer 425xl like that and it still going after 2 years
