Return pump location inquiry

any problems running the pump parallel to sump?
it's gonna come way out if it's str8.

positioned similiar to pic..figured i could use 2 45's to make the turn.

Mine is positioned similar, has a couple of 90's to put it off to the side. Has worked fine for over a year. I assume the tank is gonna be drilled? this will help with less pressure loss as the water is going to naturally want to be gravity fed out of the sump to the pump.

Your welcome to come check mine out before you plumb yours, I'm not too far from ya.

thx for the response and offer...yes it will be drilled 1 1/2 bulkhead

I have my skimmer pump mounted the same way also, no problems. Maybe a slight loss of flow due to the elbow on the inlet, but nothing noticable.
