RODI Canister local to Boston suburbs?

dedfish

That's Mr.Murphy to you!
My RODI filter has experienced a catastrophic failure. One of the canisters has failed, the threads had given out and it will not form a tight seal with the canisters lid. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement canister local to Arlington Ma or the Boston area?

Thanks,
Jason

Try using some teflon tape on the threads.

Total thread failure. I wish tape would help this but there is no tape in the world that will fix it. The threads have literally come loose from the housing. The plastic has failed.

Bummer.

If you are in a jam, PM me. I have a dual DI filter from bulk reef supply that I am not using yet. The canisters for the DI resin are the same as an RODI filter. You can order a replacement, and in the meantime, have a functional filter.

Thanks! I should be ok till Monday, then I can grab a housing locally from a filtration company.

The local place I knew I could get a housing from wanted over $50. I had to tell them no thank you since I can get one shipped overnight for less probably. I'm going to swing by Home Depot to check what they have before ordering something online. I still have ~20g of top off so I should be ok.

Still if anyone reads this and knows a local source in the next few hours please let me know.
