Finally time to setup and start making my own water. With so many brands looking for some input as too what you guys had luck with and maybe what to stay away from. air, water, ice , spectra pure, watergeneral, Kent. Been to all their sites. All look about the same. Like to keep it under the 200.00 range if possible.

You are right. They pretty much are all the same. A basic 4 stage set-up will be just fine. Figure out how much water you need at a time, then determine how long you willing to wait for it. ie; Air,water.ice has a 75GPD set-up for $140 that will give you 3 gallons an hour under perfect conditions. Probably closer to 2gph in the winter. If you find that too slow for your needs you can easily upgrade later just buy changing the ro membrane to a higher capacity and changing the restrictor to match. I originally bought a kent 50gpd and upgraded to 150 when I got tired of waiting for water.

A friend of mine, has a decent one for sale. Only $80. Plus he has just changed the pre filters.

Just bought a BRS 4 STAGE VALUE PLUS RO/DI SYSTEM - 75GPD, set it up last night and it's making about 2.5 gal/hr. Pretty happy.

Thanks for the input from everyone, ended up going with a 150 gpd unit from BRS. Came setup with A few of the things I wanted like tds meter, pressure gauge, and faucet adapter and finally the reviews where top notch. On sale and free shipping.
