Hi guys,
Just making some RODI water and really looking just how much water I'm gaining and losing. I went to Skipton and got my RODI tested and it was 11 so I don't think the membrane is bad. But I've filled up two 5 gallon buckets of waste and Only gained about 1 gallon of RODI. Is this right. I'm doing laundry with the waste water and wondering how much water should I put in the washer machine. Any advice would be appreciated. Can I put a PSI meter on my RODI unit. Maybe it's the pressure causing the slowness

I just set mine up. Its making about 1 gall of good water
to about 4 galls. of waste. My pressure ranges from 40lbs
to about 60 lbs. My tds meter reads 36 in and 0 out.

oh, and i also use the waste in the washing machine. My wife fills it
about half to three quarters full . keep in mind you have add more for rinse.

You should be around 4(waste water) to 1(RO production)
Pressure on the membrane is important especially if you water is cold. Increased pressure on your membrane and warming the water before it hits you RO\DI unit will make for better output & higher quality water.

However it seems as if you DI needs to be changed out.

Best way to tell if your Membrane is gone is to test your tap water TDS against you RO output before your DI. It should be no more than 8% of the TDS in your tap water
So if your tap water reads 100 for TDS then you should have no more than a reading of 8 TDS for your RO output.
