Rods-Reef Food group buy?

Well... I hate to say this, & think that someone could do this but ...

Someone PM'd me saying Sea Star wanted them to pickup their order, Since TomD was supose to pick it up but had changed his plans to pickup later I figured this was fine & gave the person the pack of food for Sea Star, they even gave me the $.25 cents. Later TomD comes to pick up his food & Sea Stars food. He had no knowledge someone else picked it up & just thought she ask someone else to pick it up. Later I get a PM from Sea Star saying she had not ask anyone else to pickup her order. I cannot even say who this person was due to the huge waves of PM's regarding this order I had cleared my PM box twice during this.

Please, if you were the one to have taken this food maybe by mistake or something please do the right thing & return it or pay for it.

We all have a love for this hobby & should know the great expenses that accompany it. When someone organizes a group order to help save us alittle cash here and there we should not have to worry about something like this happening. I know I personally will never organize a group order again after this. I know this is partly my own fault for not confirming with Sea Star first that someone else was picking up, but due to my very hectic schedule last week & the fact that they had PM'd me end of the day & wanted to come right when I got in from work I did not.

I hope it's simply a mistake and not someone trying to swoop in and essentailly steal fish food. I know this is an expensive hobby...but really!?

Jov - I'll be getting my pack from Don tonight. Can't wait to see how the little piggies like it. Thanks for organizing this!

I also really hope its a misunderstanding! I will not ask any questions or state your name if you please just return it or pay for the food... its not like its an expensive thing!

Amazon I'm sure they will love the food!!!!! mine now eat out of my hand for this food when they use to dart into the frogspawn when I stuck my hand in the tank.

Everyone feel free to post how you like the food too! I've sent Rod the link so he can get some feedback from us bostonian reefers on the food.

This is truly a sad situation....... to think someone from the club would do this, is such a rotten thing to do ......

I should not have to be out of my purchase that I PAID for and it is not Jovannas fault either............ she put SO much time & effort into this group buy.....

I just hope this "person" comes forward...........

wow now thats crappy im sorry to hear about your misfortune sea star and for you to jovanna after being so nice and putting this all together sea star if you were closer i would give you half my order wow that stinks

but i do wanna say my fishy's love this stuff i have to thank waltm for picking up for me though and you as well jovanna for meeting with walt for my pickup would have been there myself if it wasn't for my lung just for an upate on me im home again three holes in my side from surgery and i can't cough or sneeze without pain but hey i can breath again lol

Ask the site admin or maybe start a thread in the BRS business section. If this is more than just a misunderstanding it seems like this is an egregious enough use of club resources that the site admin and BRS would do what they could to help, if retrieving the pms is possible.

Jov, did you delete your emails too? If you had your settings set to receive email notices of pms, you'd have the pm in your email system.

No I dont have the e-mail setting set on. the only e-mail notifications I ever get are paypal.

Quick update. I've been using Rod's Reef food more and more lately and everyone seems to really like it. Very happy with it and plan on buying more when I run out.

Hey.. Was the issue with the missing food ever resolved? If not, I don't know about everyone else that participated, but I'd be more than happy to donate $1.. If everyone donates $1, that would cover the cost of the missing one.....
