I have a blue hippo that is very easy going, I had a yellow tang smaller than him and the yellow tang bothered him and he never fought back, needless to say I got rid of the YT. I am now looking at getting a Sailfin Tang - Desjardinii. I have read they are pretty peacefull as well, does anybody have any experience with them or with them and blue hippos?

My Sailfin gets along with most of its tank-mates. It didn't love the YT or the PBlT but it never really caused any big problems. It completely ignored my hippo for the most part, although my hippo was the most skittish of all the tangs. Then it got hurt during a move and I've kept it in my refugium with my Yellow Tang ever since...
My Sailfin does have aggression. It fights for dominance with my powder blue although it isn't anything serious -- they just can't seem to agree who is really the boss. You may get lucky and the Sailfin may not see the hippo as a real threat but it wouldn't surprise me if he bullied the hippo a bit too. I think there isn't any sure-fire way to know; fish have personalities.

I have a Blue Hippo tang about 9" long and a 6" Yellow Tang and a 6" Sailfin tang in the same tank. They all like algae and green foods. The tank is 220 gallons and they do occasionally become territorial, but are not too aggressive toward each other. They swim a lot and need a lot of room to swim, especially the Sailfin.
