Do sally lightfoot crabs molt?? i know my coral branded shrimp does but does the crab?

Yup... mine did 1 week after I got him..... then 8 months later I booted him out of my tank.

Because he wasn't playing nice with the fish... nipping at them...

Then BigDaddy came to play in my tank, and is happy as a clam He molts every few weeks... and hasn't nipped at anyone that I have seen. However my tank is a bit bigger then Mike's was, so the fish have more room to maneuver around.

(to answer your question, they do molt, and the molts generally look just like the crab!)

first time i saw left over sally shell i was bummed out,thought she had passed on! as i was scooping the remains,sally went walking by. mine gets along great with the crew,and she is always working!
