The tank build is chugging along... slowly but surely!
Some updates:
  • Started building the controller board/cabinet. Going to mount some flush magnets on the side panels for easy removal to access the inside which will house all the power supplies & extra cable.
  • Removed all old plumbing and replaced it with new bulkheads & sch80 plumbing.

Been there before myself.

Corey saved my a** lol. I knew I should have bought spares. Silly mistake
why do you think I have all this crap. 12 years of buying spares lol!

I like using red and blue to differentiate the return and drain lines! In my dream tank planning I am torn between getting the blue Bashsea sump and doing blue plumbing or getting the black and white one and doing gray or black plumbing...

Oof. Tough. I like both! Whatever you end up doing, make sure you show us some pics!

Leak test has been going successful for 24hrs now. Been running it complete cycle. Also individually tested each drain for leaks. Only leak sprung came from the 3/4" return bulk head. Gave it another half turn with pliers and have been good since. Will leave this running for another day just to be safe.

Oh don't you worry I will have a nice new build thread!!! I sort of like the black and white sump with black piping. White piping would be nice too (and cheap) but it has all the writing on it and I think it would draw your eye to the plumbing and I would want attention to be on tank!

The prints will come off with aceton or u can use furniture grade pvc, they have a gloss finish without any prints on them.

Looks sweet I would be worried about a splash or drip tripping the powerbars. But looks sweet exposed. Build is coming out great!

Nice and clean!
