Seaworld - Salem, NH. Two thumbs up!

The Chicago Experience!
I have started to frequent Seaworld more lately and I feel compelled to comment on how great the store is evolving.

All livestock from coral to fish is outstanding in quality and pricing has dropped significantly over the last year. I recently picked up an amazing Blasto Welsii and a good sized blue Ricordea rock for prices well below online vendors.

Dry goods are now stocked will real world products that us reefers would use consistently.

Kudos to Chris, Tony, Billy, and the rest of the SW staff for an excellent turn around.

great help

just in there the other day and wow! what a selection of corals and fish. the servive was quick and great. thanks to tony in saltwater, he was a great help.

I hate to cause a problem went in on saturday saw a minimum of 5 dead fish in each of the tanks I looked in some in more advanced stages of decomposing it was really awful.

I agree, the SW section is improving and they have a really nice selection. However, the FW section could require lots of improvement, as every time I go, I see fish covered in ich, fin/tail rot, cotton mouth, pop-eye, etc., as well as very skinny fish. I have seen the employees sell customers the very skinny fish (like sunken in belly and skull, not eating, sitting at the bottom of tank).

You are correct. we have had a sudden issue with the system and have lost quite a few fish. i believe we have gotten it under control ( fingers crossed) but only time will tell.

unfortanetley due to the loss of my wife Tricia we have lost a very knowledgable, dedicated, fish loving employee who kept the freshwater area in great condition. we will surely stuggle until we can get someone else up to her level. bare with us

I have shopped at Sea world for around 15 years. I was there the other day and the service was pretty bad. The women at the register was nice enough , however it took 3 requests to get someone to the salt water dept for help.... At one point I spoke to someone who told me "you came at a bad time and everyone was very busy". The story was very quiet other than the construction.....

Eventually the guy that helped me in salt water apologized and was nice enough he asked if I wanted to speak to manager, he also gave me the frag I was going to buy..

sorry to say the tanks were fairly empty

Sorry to hear that, i believe that was the day we where re-arranging the registers and several department desk. we are making many changes in the store layouts as well as product changes. as far as the tanks being empty, we seem to be doing much more saltwater sales lately and as fast as i bring orders in they are going out the door ( not a bad thing :D ). i am planning to increase my orders so we do not run out of things for people. Tony was the employee that helped you and unfortunatley tony and myself are the "fix it, move it" guys in the store and he was working the salt department that day so that is why it took a little while for him to get there.

I only recently started going to Seaworld Pet Center (a bit of a hike for me, but REFERENCE TO OTHER SHOP REMOVED, PLEASE KEEP COMMENTS ON ONE SHOP AT A TIME) and have had good experiences there so far.

I recently purchased a pair of Black and White Clownfish and some Hammer Coral there and couldn't be happier with them! I'll agree that some of the SW workers don't seem overly anxious to help the customers, but Chris himself was a great guy...very helpful and knowledgeable

For what it's worth, I'll definitely continue to shop there

Stopped by today, they had beautiful, healthy fish at great prices. Chris was great help and the entire store looked very healthy and well run. Two thumbs up from me.
