Shameless self promotion

Congrats Steve, I have a question on a Pick.. It looks like an ASM skimmer like mine. You have the gate valve overflow. It just goes like a U shape and back into the water. I got the Mod kit and there arrangements are different and I could never tune down the skimmer from over flowing, especially with the Mesh Mod. Is that how you have it? Am I seeing it correctly?

Yes, I made my gate valve mod different than the one that you can get from ASM. I made it that way to help reduce splashing and it has worked very well. I'm sure you checked this, but make sure your riser tube is all the way down. I haven't done the mesh mod yet but will be soon so I will tell you if I have any tuning problems after that.

Breath taking, congrats Steve.

Thanks Ray!

Wow I am amazed at your setup is very close to mine, yours has more variety of corals though. That purple digita is awesome.

Thanks everyone. I was pretty exited when they asked to do TOTM. Tom, I only use the phosban reactor to run carbon. I've run carbon since I started the hobby and if I don't my water looks "dirty" to me. I just fill it up with carbon and let it run for about a month before changing the carbon out. It is fed with a Maxijet 400, but I think I'm going to bump it up to a 600 because the 400 seems a little weak to me.

Ya thanks Steve, I run carbon 24/7 because I have a bit of a mixed reef. I am not happy with the bag in the sump. I have an MJ laying around so I think I am going to try this.

I figured that with the return line flowing through the bag (taped outside sump) that more water woulf get through.

With the phosban, a lot of water is being filtered through it?
