Shark Reef

Well it's been alot of work and it's still not wet but I am close and the shark is getting huge!!!! Very happy with the rock work!! I had reef assist come and scape it in the tank with all dry rock that was live at one time and very little Marco used! Making the equipment stand top now and hopefully plumbing the tank tomorrow!!! I l decided to fill and rinse the rock with rodi for a night then drain and refill and add salt. Plan is to swap the tank Sunday after ffm if everything goes to plan but nothing has yet.

Tank definitely needs a updated post. The tank is running amazing and now have 2 sharks! Wife found a zebra bull head shark. We have had her for a few months now and is a amazing looking shark! Decided to light the tank with 6 radion xr30s and it's has great coverage. I also decided to run 2x mp60s and one is almost maxed out and pushes alot of water. Tank transfer went well and now have 3 80g frag tanks behind the large tank for plenty of frag room!

Looks awesome!

What type of nems are they? I had 2 RBT's and they multiplied and completely overgrew my tank. I'm looking a nem species that's not going to that.

@FishieBusiness the left is a inferno and right is a Colorado sunburst. At least that's what they were sold to me as they look very similar and both are huge. With the way to identify a Colorado they both pass so I really dont know but will sell left splits as inferno and right as Colorado. I love clowns and anemone and trying a hareem my self didn't work so I keep tons in baskets and everywhere I can hide a pair. Kinda interested in trying a harem again one day maybe in the 1000g...

Just added a 90gallon refugium last night and need a light for it asap! I am thinking i should check out a grow shop and get a veg light and call it a day. I am not sure on the size i should get as even home depot has a 60 watt 48inch grow light. I am trying as hard as possible to keep the electrical draw the same as my paxbellum set but at like 40w it's hard to compare but it was not enough so I am ok going to 80w I am thinking. Any one have any suggestions??

Big System Update + Getting Ready for Fragsgiving!

With a reef this size, there’s always something to tweak to make things run smoother and maintenance easier — and I just finished another round of upgrades! I recently reorganized my filter and water rooms, added a new barrel setup, and installed a 90-gallon refugium to help fine-tune nutrient export and stability across the system.

The total system volume is around 1,600 gallons, with a 1,000-gallon display — it’s been running great, and this new layout should make maintenance a lot more efficient. I’m also working on a new waste container since my old 5-gallon bucket setup made it tough to tell when it was full.

I’m getting everything dialed in just in time for Fragsgiving, and I’ll be bringing a nice selection of zoanthids, some beautiful LPS frags, and stunning large Colorado Sunburst anemones. Super excited to see everyone and talk reefs!
