90g tank with LR. I have 1 Leopard Goby, 2 Black and White Clowns, 2 Blue Reef Chromis, 7 Green Emerald Crabs, 4 Turbo Snails.

I would like to add a Marine Betta but some things I've read say they are not compatible. What does everyone here think? What should I add to the tank if not the Betta? Should I get rid of what I have and start over? Thanks for the help.

I have one in my tank, only had him for about 4 weeks, i dont keep shrimp and feed ghost shrimp along with frozen brine etc.. it stays behind the rocks for alot of the day which is kind of a bummer hopefully in time it will come out more as time goes on...

I have one in my system with a cleaner shrimp he hasnt bothered him yet they do stay behind the rock work they really dont like light mine is only out when lights are dim morning and night cool fish tho when they feel threaten they put there head down to sand bed or rock and there tail straight up to look like a monterey eel to scare off anything lol
Also ive read if you add a marine betta after shrimp it will be fine but if you add a shrimp after he may be lunch

Well I was going to add another post but maybe I can get some suggestions here. I've decided to put off getting a Marine Betta due to some strong advice from a couple reputable LFS's. So now the question is: What should I add to my tank. They should be community types, that will get along with everyone. Preferably colorful & larger in size than a goby.

Reminder of what I have:
90g tank with LR. Live Stock consist of: 1 Leopard Goby, 2 Black and White Clowns, 2 Blue Reef Chromis, 7 Green Emerald Crabs, 4 Turbo Snails. 1 Green Bubble Tip Anemone, 1 Pink Eagle Eye Polyp Colony, 1 Green Star Polyp, 5 Kenya Tree's.

There are a bunch of reef safe wrasses you could choose. That'll get you plenty of color and activity.
You could roll the dice and try a flame angel or a coral beauty.

And to the OP. From Live Aquaria:

"The Marine Betta is not commonly kept in a reef-style aquarium, but it is reported to be safe with corals and anemones, however, it will eat all small fish and shrimp. It is nocturnal and requires hiding places to provide it shelter from bright lighting, being more active at dusk."

I somehow forgot that I already have a Coral Beauty Angel fish. I can't go back and edit my original post or my later post but I guess I could mention again what I have & include the beauty this time. Thanks for the advice.

MrX - Thanks for the info on the Marine Betta - I'm going to forget about adding one, if I have to become nocturnal just to view it, then it's not worth it. Thanks again for the idea's.
