Should I separate these corals?

Are these corals fighting for space? I didn't think corals in the same family stung each other.

Thanks for the reply. The one on the left recently started receding, and I'm not sure why. They have been touching for a while now so I thought it was o.k., but now I'm not so sure.

Is it the same species? They both look the same to me. If that's the case, they will merge.
If they're different, one will take over. Even different acroporas will sting one another and the weak one will be overtaken.

I thought they were the same, but the colors are definitely different. Unfortunately, I don't remember where I bought them or if they had identifying names. I see all these tanks jammed with corals, and yet I have two small frags that are fighting. This hobby is so frustrating.

Lol. Don't draw too much conclusion when you see other people's tank. You really don't know how much time they spent on it. Most people want you to see only the positive side. So before the pictures are posted, I'm sure the tank has been prepped for it. You can't deny the law of nature where the strongest will survive.

I would separate them. At least from here, it looks to be quite easy to remove one of them.
