Bare bottom tanks look like poo poo with all the coraline growing on it. Just my IMO.

I don't think sand maintenance was a major if at all contributing factor to my past failures. But I don't like a lot of maintenance. I am often lax in that task, If I skip that sand vacuum and leave it to critters and fate. Will I end up with a substrate of turtle poo. "I hate v love turtles .
