Ah, I see. So please tell us what fish you have had, and currently have in this tank. And if you haven't yet, stop "studying" for a second and go test that water sample! We need to know what your params are!

Might be over stocked...we have 2 fish in a 10 gallon tank (total volume 23G) and most people think a third fish might be pushing the bio load, while others say it would be alright.
Test that water...doesn't take to long to do a water test. Studying to long in a run without breaks is no good either.
Hopefully your clam is alright!

So now you've got 2 cardinals, a clown and a bicolor blenny living in the tank?
And recently you lost, in the same tank, another clown, a cardinal, and a scooter blenny?
I'm just trying to get things straight. Maybe you could give us one beginning-to-end story of the fish in this tank. What's been added, what died, and what's still living in there. I'm having a lot of trouble figuring that stuff out from your posts. I think some of the confusion is because you've got a few tanks, and I don't know what's in each. So just tell us the fish you've put in, when they died, and which are still living.

I can sum it up for you nate/jay.....
Not to long ago he moved from dorm room to home, his heater broke at home or something, temps were bad really bad, he lost some stuff, I'm quite sure that his tank went through a cycle again because he said he did test positive for ammonia but did a water change and the ammonia was gone........
The ammonia being testable def leads me to believe that his tank is/was indeed cycling again.....
In the meantime he has been restocking, losing stuff and restocking again further impeding the cycle and or the tanks ability to handle a bioload, this is in fact a 24g and although i would not consider it a nano, the small water volume is surely unforgiving.
I would push for him testing his water via the next meeting so we can really see whats going on in order to help him, as I personally feel the place testing his water (as IIRC he doesn't test it himself) is giving him bunk for parameters....

all the fish have been in that for some time, the move back to my college dorm was very successful. I tested for the basics ammonia nitrite and nitrate and found nothing im going to the store today so they can further test my water do to the fact they have better kits then i do.

Everyone does them different yes i keep ammonia 0 but i do not enjoy you coming on every post about how my tank is good enough. That is how i feel that you are coming off. Like i said 3 fish have died and two have disappeared. I saw two of the fish on there way out and they have looked stunned. Like somthing had hit them.
My question is could a purple lobster do that to a fish hes about 2 1/2" long. But to finish my story i had to hang the rock thinking that it might have killed some stuff in the rock. Possibility?

X, if you hung your rock for a long time, some dieoff could have caused a spike. If it was just long enough to get a pest out, probably not. However, the loss of three fish in a relatively short time, plus the water volume those fish were lost in, probably made a spike probable.
As for you other question, I will paste in what marine depot says about the purple lobster:

Sorry I'm just trying to help these guys help you sort your problem out, that said they needed a little info on what to go on, this has nothing to do with "your tank being good enough" and I'm not really seeing where that is coming from.
Since you don't like the way I summed up your previous posts, I will just quote your own posts to help these guys out, I can't be given a warning or banned that way...or accused of attacking when it's not me saying it. ONCE AGAIN THESE ARE YOUR OWN WORDS FROM YOUR PREVIOUS POSTS, Of what appears to me to be an ongoing issue not solved yet....

temp down to 63 at least not 53"
"it is beginging to look like a full restocking of corals. Lost only one fish, (purple lobster never see him but hopefully still alive.) sea serpent who knows where hes hiding if he made it. This suxs, more money, did i mention this sucks"

i really suspect the lobster to, chew i hop there is no warning in your direction there is none needed. If there is any reprobation let me know who to email for you. I was just stating that is how it felt.

just out of curiosity, is it possible that that lobster can also be the cause of your clicking noise? Btw I had an emerald crab that was rather small and caught him chasing a new addition, likely do to running low nutrient in my case, I'm not sure of your feeding habits but mine are sparse as I rely on the pod population for the majority of my fishes food source, likely the reason he was seeking alternative methods of eating.......

I would think if a lobster was the sole problem here, that the fish would look wounded, gashed, cut. You haven't described that. You've said that they're gilling, gasping, floating. That sounds more like water quality or a disease to me.
In PM x mentioned that he had a white-spot clownfish disease earlier but the fish recovered. I don't know if that could be brooklynella that he's referring too?
Either way the lobster should probably go, but I wonder if that's the only problem or not.

chew i got emeralds to and they only mess on top of snails and hermits. But ill keep a cloose eye so who wants to trade for a purple lobster seriously ill trade for anything but hard corals he was 35 i think just so people have a price if they want him for there sump
