Well, the old one was a 90g tank which was although larger, had less room...
The old one looked like this (precooking):
It was almost impossible to access the second level, impossible to access the bottom and really hard to clean the glass... The sliding trays work really nicely!
On the other hand, I probably should have made it a couple inches deeper - I'm lighting it with 175's and I was worried that if I made it deeper the second tier wouldn't get enough light, but I'm finding that some of the LPS still gets too much light even when under the trays.
I'm very happy with the flow in the tank - the rounded corners really help a lot.
